Vent

I have moved to a new place and while it is nicer than my house it is on a busier road. it wasn't always this way. There was a building between us and the bar...

I just want to say that I really really really hate
RAP

it is cRAP

There's a resturant on the corner - the cooks are playing that crap all night then there are the boom cars... I swear I'm gonna introduce them to Mr. Coonan.

I really wish Darwin would take care of them

The other people say it is like living next to railroad tracks or the airport
eventually you don't hear it.

Guess I'm just a sensitive guy

now die die die

ps.. I'm listening to Jean-Michel Jarre "Equinoxe" for crying outloud there's a lot of dust on this one

Zaf 09-08-2007 10:40 PM

Don't worry , you'll get used to it. I have lived in flight paths, a stone throws away from the trans - Canada highway, eventually you won't even notice it.

AeWingnut 09-08-2007 10:54 PM

the guys from the bar like to try and break empties when they toss 'em in the dumpster. Makes me jum out of my skin. I think someone is busting out windshields

Zaf 09-08-2007 11:21 PM

Yeah, thats a little unsettling

Hope you have a short lease!

For ten years I lived two blocks up from St. Vincent's Hospital. Eventually I slept through ambulance sirens and flashing lights. You will likely adjust, just because you'll get too tired to stay awake!

I never did get used to the g*dd*mn Knicks fans honking loudly at 3AM on their way to the Holland Tunnel after games, though. I never needed to watch the game to know if the Knicks won or lost; I could tell by the noise level outside my window in the wee hours of the morning. For my part, I wish Darwin would take care of f*ck*ng sports fans who feel a need to announce their team loyalties hours after the game ended. Starting with Knicks fans with access to car horns.

Now I sleep through angry, screaming conversations outside my window every night. Some of them can still wake me, though. Makes me nostalgic for the ambulance sirens. But not the Knicks fans.

thank goodness for country living. sometimes a barking dog wakes me up...i did have the neighbors mule come by the window one night--he got loose. that was interesting, sitting up and having tony ask what was wrong. i know this sounds crazy hun, i said, but i think i just heard a mule in the front yard braying.

It had to be honking after losses if it was frequent.
For the past few years it should have been dead silent
if success produced honking.

i wouldn't know about last year, as we moved. Now I get nightly live episodes of "B*tch, Where's My Money?" outside.

My first Jean-Michel Jarre was Magnetic Fields then I found Oxygene and the rest. Oxygene 7-13 and Chronologies are two of my favorites.

Right now I am listening to Earthride http://www.myspace.com/earthridedoom

tomorrow it may be Curved Air.

:o

no, I don't have a car with a monster stereo in it right now. Someday maybe. For some reason Steely Dan makes me ill. I don't dislike them. I just got really sick when someone played a best of tape over and over and over while I was setting up equipment for the band and had to go home and puke. I start to get sick everytime I hear Steely Dan. No explanation.
