Well, today was probably the biggest disappointment in my wagering career. I ended up between 10th and 15th with TWO opportunities to overtake the top spot and both my horses ran 4th at 17/1. I had both bombs (Soul Survivor at $35 and Gold Hornet at $26) and couldn't connect the rest of the day. If Sciacca's horse in the 6th holds on I win the thing. So disappointing, think I am done until the BC and even then is garbage.

Can't beat Catalano or Calabrese, just garbage.

Do you know if the winner got ****ed because of that last race? Did 7th pay, I can't remember?

I don't know...I know some guy's Dad jumped from about 20th to 3rd because of the 4. I don't think many people had a race left to play at that point.

and no....all 7th got me was a high 5 from Dell and Barney and a woulda' coulda' shoulda' if I had playing both Dreaming horses

Yep, garbage. It was a great strategy to keep that wager alive to chase a bomb in a wide open race. Hindsight I wish I didn't play that 2 year old race and saved it for that race, thing is that I doubt I would have played that horse being that I was only $140 out of 1st, probably would have played Steve's '9' horse. Did you look to see where I officially finished?

I had $393 for 7th and $383 was 9th

Scav 09-08-2007 08:38 PM

$303, so I was top 20. I was 12th going into that race at Arlington

Both were really f'n impressive. Anna going 46.4 in that race on a course that has some cut in it is probably more impressive.

In hindsight, not sure what is in the Lassie but Liz was also pretty huge. i wonder if he is going to go straight into the BC with her or find a race at Keeneland for her

More so, where does Anna go on BC Day, F/M Turf would be awful interesting.

I just posted in Paddock that we were talking about Anna..You assume she's staying on the grass?

If she even sees real dirt again I will personally smack Catalano in the face, open handed.

She won the Juvenile last year on talent and a cooked rail, but now she is winning on straight talent.

What I really wonder is if she sees the track next year, I would think Frank would want a try at the Beverly D

I think that race may be a bit long for her. Her best distance is shorter than 12F.

I am sure there is something for her, there is 102 BC races this year

Scav 09-08-2007 09:06 PM

They might try the BC Mile with her. I agree that F/M Turf is too far.
