It's odd though, usually by this time I'm head over heels in love with a two year old by now but it seems like all the best babies raced during the week when I was still at work. :D I think the Stakes races were much more enjoyable this year than last. While Bernardini was a treat, his races didn't offer much 'thrill' to me since I like a good battle. The Whitney always delivers though. All in all a good (and at times very interesting) season. Beautiful weather forcasted for the weekend and if the cards are this good on Sunday & Monday the meet will go out on a very high note. |

Late Thursday morning, Penna said that a blacksmith was designing a special shoe for Chatain to wear in the $250,000 Forego so that he doesn't pound his heel. If Chatain were to gallop comfortably over the track with the shoe on Friday morning, then he would run in the Forego. |

He's out. |
I love the Attila's Storm- Lawyer Ron double if it is offered. After the free $5.80 Street Sense-La Traviata double last weekend I will gladly take another easy chalk double.
|
I always end up using the "Awesome" horses (Awesome Twist & Awesome Gem) on both costs because they always seem to close into the exacta or tri.

Super card...last chance to make some $$$
