Most awesome single display

Sinister Minister at Keeneland. Yes speed biased. We dont need that posted again. But what an incredible display of unadulterated raw speed at over one mile. An incredible performance by a horse with the inability to rate in any way.

Of course I cannot possible put the horse based on other performances as a top 3 year old. But for that single day on that speedy track... Bang. It was awesome.

It was thrilling. Just wish he had passed on the derby.

Hmmm.....yeah it was pretty impressive. I would have to say it is probably the best performance this year by a 3 year old. I really can't think of anyone else. Horse that come to mind with outstanding performances are:

Deep Impact
Henny Hughes--just two weekends ago
Barbaro--2006 KY Derby
Ouija Board--when she beat males about 3 weeks ago.

Those, along with SM, would be my top 5 so far for 2006.

I cant wait for Baffert to ship SM east for the Haskell. It might be the like the Bluegrass all over again.

I have to say Barbaro in the Derby was #1.
I think before their careers are over many of the horses (like Showing Up, Sweetnorthernsaint, Bluegrass Cat, Point Determined, Brother Derek etc.) that he beat that day will have outstanding careers, and Barbaro's destruction of them that day will look even more impressive.

That's one of my favorite movie lines, too, miraja!

With his short time racing he could become a legend if these others produce Gr1 wins in the next few years. Except for the breakdown ,undefeated.
