What's going on?

I am sure many of you remember Oscar Barrera. It was obvious at the time when Oscar came crashing to earth after winning an ungodly number of races, that someone had given him a little talking to. I don't think he was ever nailed red handed or suspended. He was never much again after his brief meteoric rise to the top of the trainer standings in NY in the mid 80's. There is a certain fellow now that seems to be crashing to earth that is on a much larger stage. Maybe it is just a low, but one has to wonder. It will be interesting to see if the trend continues

You couldn't be talking about the guy that won a grade 2 today at Saratoga and that is poised to run 1-2 in the grade 1 tomorrow? Also won at Monmouth today.

I doubt he catches Mott, but don't be surprised if Pletcher gets it down to a 3 or 4 race lead going into the last 3 days of the meet.

Ole Oscar I remember him well not really a fair comparison because Oscar did things NOBODY else has even come close to doing. Couple of my favorite Oscar Stories he claimed a horse (can't remember exactly what the price was) and win 3 races in 9 days from 6f to a 1 1/8th. He also Claimed a horse that was double Bowed that had not win a race in 2 years and he win 3 races in 9 days. I could keep on going but you guys get the Picture.

oh for the good old days when horses could run 3 times a week
