8/27: Saratoga (Day 25)

End of Week 4 at the Spa saw solid results and positive influence on the bankroll after finally getting some quality exotics. Enter the final third of the meet up +$280. P4's, long a staple of my selection diet, have been a total washout all meet, but it may only take one or two the last 12 race days to offset the $800-$900 that has gone into them thus far...

Stakes Weekend starts in earnest Thursday with an outrageously good edition of the Ballston Spa, and continues Friday with the Personal Ensign. Travers Day Saturday (4 graded events) and the Ballerina Sunday!

Wednesday card a bit mundane, and chalk looks to reign throughout..

SARATOGA

Selections Key:

1. "Best value win candidate"
2. "Most likely winner"
A. "Possible winner/Exotics include"
B. "Exotics include"

1st: CLM/N2L, 3+, 5.5f-T (DD)

1. #3 Gone Prospecting 8-1: Many plus angles via slick Carlos Martin.. 8th
2. #7 Eddie C. 5-2: Weaver on duck, but 2nd 5X; Figures tough if ready.. 2nd

WAGERING SUGGESTION: Key the 3 1st/2nd in exactas &/or tris with 2-5-6-7.. $8 in exactas, $24 for tris.. Ooof.. C. Martin runner doesn't lift a hoof here.. Starts day with a thud with three uses running 1-2-3...

2nd: MSW, 2yo-F, 5f (P3, P4)

NOTE: Leaving out #4 Smokin' Stephanie in race selections, but may want to include as protection in your multi-race wagers. Pletcher figures to be pulling out stops for client (Bobby Flay) he stole from Jimmy Toner, and he predictably 'moved up' the useless Sophie's Salad up Opening Week..

1. #6 Tazarine 15-1: Overlaid ML on Lukas filly that competes with 2nd out improvement.. 2nd
2. #5 Syriana's Song 8-5: Tough to go against off strong bow here 8/2.. WON

$1 TRI $104.50 Best hit of the day..

5: 1e-2e-4-7-8

5x0x2x5 = $0

6th: MDN CLM, 2yo-F, 6f (P4, DD)

NOTE: Tabbing the 3rd as a Superfecta race, which will likely be lost on a scratch, and not this race was ridiculous..

1. #7 Stormy Miracle 6-1: Trombo imports from DEL string; 31% W's in MDN CLM bows.. 5th
2. #1e Vinery Stables entry 9-5: #1 POE 3rd lifetime, a strong Kenneally move.. WON/3rd
A. #3 Vesper 4-1 8th
B. #2 Centerport Baby 30-1 2nd

A. #1 Brazilian 12-1 4th
B. #9 Lemon Drop Gal 7-2 6th
