SUN - Del Mar Stakes Action

Looking for a better performance after a poor effort on Saturday's action. All 3 races will be televised on ESPN2 at 7pm eastern (Race 3 will be taped delayed).

Del Mar

Race 3 - G2 Pat O'Brien Handicap

#6 Surf Cat - One of the most talented runners in the country.
#5 Greg's Gold - In great form and should be right there at the wire.
#4 Bordonaro - Speedster might have trouble with the extra furlong.
#3 Publication - Old guy can still fire a nice one.

Race 7 - G2 Del Mar Mile Handicap

#2 Becrux (Ity) - Loves the Del Mar lawn and the mile distance is clearly his best.
#6 Crossing The Line (NZ) - Lightly raced Kiwi looking to make it 5 in a row.
#3 Out of Control (Brz) - Good enough to beat The Tin Man, but shortens up to a mile?
#4 Frank the Barber - Looking for him to add some spice to the superfecta.

Race 8 - G1 Pacific Classic

#3 Tiago - Talented 3yr old will get the set up from his stablemate to get the job done. SCR
#1 Lava Man - Defending champ always seems to find a way in Cali.
#13 Hello Sunday (Fr) - Live longshot was impressive on the Del Mar poly in last.
#5 Student Council - Heads west to new barn and should have no problem with the 10 furlongs.
#3 Sun Boat (GB) - San Diego Champ picks up 10lbs and faces tougher.

Good Racing Luck

I hear Tiago may scratch

I can't see anything in the Pat O Brien-so pass.
Isipingo is my longshot special in the Mile
Time Squared is my even bigger longshot special in the Classic

i was going to give the PK6 a try with the 200K + c/o, but the sequence is damn near impossible. Full fields and tons of contenders would make for a deep ticket, gl to those who dare to try

Watch Crossing the Line"s last 2 races and you will see a monster that won't be beat by this group of horses and might be a Breeders Cup favorite.

Lava Man at equal weights will be hard to beat. He seems to run what ever it takes to win. Go LAVA MAN.
