Listened to a little NJ talk radio on my way home yesterday. Let's just say there are not a lot of happy NJ residents these days. Their Gov better hope people have really short memories over the next few years before he's up for reelection. I was just glad to get in a few hands of three card before the casinos closed up yesterday.

Just on the news...NJ settled the budget dispute. A 1 % sales tax increase, property tax relief yet to be negotiated...
80K people get to go back to work. Racing is back in the Garden State, and the casinos will open.

funny thing I saw on Fox News when I was leaving for work at 3am today, these cats were holding chips and they just come in and closed everything down, so if you were holding chips you could not cash them. this one cat was freaking out man, it was funny as heck, since it was not me.

Yes, a million a day.
Friend who works in the Attny Gen's office in Trenton said about the same thing... Cozzine made his point... but it cost him a lot of "credibility"...as if he had any to begin with.
This "freaked out" a lot of people.
Good that it's over til next year. At least the UN will be run at Monmouth.
Geesh...that could've been bad.

slotdirt 07-06-2006 03:13 PM

I thought it might have been closer to $2 million per day?
