Polytrack ALWAYS Fast???

I was talking with a friend today and I think DRF/Equibase should consider a Wet Fast rating for Polytrack. Arlington plays 100% different when there is moisture in the track then when it is dry, and good daily logs will give people the advantage, especially if there is moisture in the track, because speed holds 10 times better, which holds true for Keeneland also. Just a thought

If you kept a log, why would you want the info published?

I have kept a log but when there comes a day I can't, I would want this information available

I wonder how many of these horse will prep all the way to the breeders cup on the poly. I can't wager my $ on them if they do. I would bet grass horses on the poly

I agree with that 100%. Speed definitely holds a ton better on wet polytrack.... both for AP and KEE (because I've followed them more I know that one for a fact).

I wouldn't want it published, Scav. Right now there is so little "free" money in the pools anyway, it mostly handicappers wagering, they all have access to the same information - only difference is in how they process it.

Keep any little edge you have ;)

Cardus, this might be true, but it is two different race tracks when moisture hits it. When it has water in it, speeds holds alot longer, but when the sun bakes it for a couple days, they close from the clouds. Why this is, I don't know, but I have seen both instances, and both of them have yielded the above results

Turfway Park is the same way. It cost me a lot of money before I caught on. You must change the wat you look at the races.

Hot and sunny...
closers get the money...
cloudy and wet...
speed is the bet.
