Record Spa crowd of 72,745//This is bull crap

I love how NYRA is allowing this number on attendance to be a Record. What a bunch of Bull crap. They give out cheap chairs, and now they say they had a record attendance. Give me a break

It really is amazing they do stuff like this. Saratoga is great no matter what. They don't need to inflate figures. This is why NYRA is always in trouble, they lie whenever they get a chance.

It was pretty crowded yesterday. I bet for each person that got 20 chairs there were 20 people that didn't bother getting their chairs.

Doubt it. Saratoga maxes out at able 60,000. Anymore than that and it is pushing it. An additional 12,745 people would make it literally impossible to move. The point is that there is no real reason to lie about attendance. What is really funny though is when NYRA gives an attendance number for a wednesday at belmont of 5000 and the are literally less than 1000 people there.

Attendance means nothing anyway. Handle is 90% of everything and food sales and merchandise the other 10%. Who cares how many people are there.

Real amount of people- i would have guessed 45-50,000. Most I've ever seen there on a non-Travers day.

The entire Oklahoma track had cars on it...

I thought they had over 65k on the Travers Day that Funny Cide scratched earlier in the day because it was too hot.

And it was pretty hard to move around Sunday.

8/11= 31,742 attendance - $4,762,347 mutual pool

8/12= 72,745 attendance - 4,158,580 mutual pool

Less than half the people show up for 8/11 and wager more?

Whats wrong w/ these figures

You can't go on attendance figures alone..the card was better on Saturday.

The cards on Saturdays are always better than Sundays. Still,41k more people and you cant even get 4.5 mil. in the pool somethings wrong w/that.

That's what I'm saying
