How many chairs is too many?

What a zoo. How many chairs can one person need. I had to use my phone account to make my bets. Those chairs are a piece of crap too.

Some of those people finished their Christmas shopping yesterday.

You got to be shitting me with that chair, people are trying to sell them for $10 plus $15 for shipping and they don't even have armrests on them or a beer holder. You can go to any local sporting good or Wal-Mart/Target and get one for $20 with arms and a beer holder, and sometimes a foot holder too. Absolutely hilarious

Giveaway days are a pain in the ass.

I don't get why they have them on a Sunday (at least this one) when you are already guaranteed a good crowd? I'm no marketing genius, but why not have them on the day of the week where your attendance is the lightest to try to get a boost?

It is actually a good idea to have it on a Sunday after a big day. Reason I say this is that you should have seen Arlington on Sunday, 5 old people and 10 regulars, that is about it.

If you had them on a Wed/Thurs/Fri people would bitch up a storm that they couldn't get free ****.

I got a bomb fleece from Arlington on Saturday, has the Arlington logo on the left boob and BC logo with Challenge on the left bicep area and it is green, and they even had big boy sizes and not the standard LARGE/XL, huge fan.

this chair thing sounds like a nightmare. i'm amazed at how people react to the concept of something being offered for free. i also have this idea that anyone that was compelled to go to the track based on the free chair giveaway isn't wagering very much. for sure they buy food and beverages but i don't think think they're bringing an extra $500 for wagering.

Eh, its a good day to bet from home. Or go up expecting a crowd. Not really a big deal.

Arl had this offer this year also, but the chairs were twice as nice if I recall. i didn't get one, was kinda pissed

I took pictures of all the jamokes with ridiculous amounts of chairs to post on here. the highest count i saw was 22, was hoping for a 50 spot somewhere out there.

14 :) Although I nearly gave up after getting the first batch and opening one up at the "British Embassy" and it barely was able to cope with my 130lb frame :D

I think I met you briefly. I was hanging out at Steve's place Saturday and in the tent on Sunday. I had the Red Sox hat on at times. I usually hang out at the PA board.

The Arlington ones were very nice. Arm rests with beverage holders on both sides. I got one of them and was glad I went early to get it.

ah, yes- was a nice weekend. unfortunately i had to cut out early to get back to the city but we'll meet again sometime.

The chairs were particularly heinous because any time I ventured near the paddock I got whacked in the face/arms/ass by people toting their bounty of rifle-case-like chairs.
At least the blankets didn't hurt.
