The Open Championship

3 in a row for El Tigre?

Samarta 07-16-2007 09:28 PM

I don't know man......of course he's the smart money, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Euro win it.....Clarke, Westwood, Montgomerie, or Donald would suit me fine.....Maybe Mickelson will bogey it away this week too...:D

Hell what about Kev...you need the "jug" to make it a set.....:p

herkhorse 07-16-2007 09:29 PM

CARNASTIE! And the winner is..... GPK, "King of the Mountain":D  :p

Well maybe not....how bout lefty?

A couple guys worth playing for a few dollars.

KJ Choi 60-1 (having a great year and plays tough courses well)

Colin Montgomerie 50-1 (still has the game and deserves a major to complete his career)

Carl Petterson 125-1 (played well at the John Deere last week and his game is headed in the right direction.)

herkhorse 07-17-2007 06:46 AM

Can you bet golf online?

Kev,the one that was amazing was the 6th shot. How does that end up that far from the hole? That announcer said the only good thing was he was getting closer. That wasn't all that much closer though.

Well,I haven't seen the interviews or anything like that, and I usually need those on Friday Evening, and that's the best way I can tell who has a good chance.Cabrera was beaming on Friday Night of the U.S. OPEN.If you had tapes of past Major golf tournaments, you would see David Toms, and Sean Micheel both incredibly confident the week of their major wins.Same with Beem(haven't seen that one confident since.)It really is about reading their body language, and demeanor. You only have to cap one person at a time.It isn't like baseball etc, that is determined by multiple players performances.
The truth is that a lot of these guys can win it if they have "their week." I don't usually do well by logically saying somebody will win based on their game coming into the tournament. That is much harder than reading somebody's confidence. If Harrington is gunna win one of these majors,it's probably gunna be here,or ST.Andrews. He has done very well on these courses. Same goes for Westwood, but neither has done much in majors,so it's tough to take Harrington at just 17-1.It's easier for me to take Westwood at 80-1.You'll see my pick based on confidence(tomorrow night) do much better than my picks based on past performance(like the 2 I just mentioned.)

Ok sorry Kev....had to pick myself up off the floor. Sergio...win this? If your gonna be at Toga next week, I will bet you a friendly $25 win wager that Sergio finishes out of the top 7.

Oh yeah...Saturday will be his choke day. I say he shoots 74 or higher that day.
