My local summer music festival

It's called The Summer Celebration and we have it every year, it takes place about 10 minutes from my house and me and my friend were argueing if it was worth the money or not. It is 11 days long, tomorrow being the last day now. You can buy individual tickets for each concert ranging from about 25-35 dollars or buy an 11 day pass good for all the concerts for $105. There were a few good ones this year. Would any of you guys have paid the $105 for an 11 day pass to see this lineup??

Weird Al Yankovic- went and was actually pretty good
Goo Goo Dolls- good show, lot of fun
Kenny Wayne Shepherd- passed and did not go
Maze featuring Frankie Beverly- passed
George Thorogood and the Destroyers- also passed
Daughtry- put on a good show, HUGE crowd
Umphrey's McGee- good show, seemed like one 90 minute song.
Taylor Swift, Rodney Atkins, and Phil Vasser- Best Show, AWESOME!
B.B. King- pass
INXS- dropped the F Bomb about 1,000 times.
The New Cars- Plan on attending, should be good.

If I were forced to go i'd consider injuring myself to get out of it.

2 years ago Ted Nugent was scheduled to come, and then we fricken backed out and didn't allow him to come because of his racist comments. He actually just won a lawsuit against Summer Celebration and is getting cut a pretty good check for the money he lost since they didn't allow him to play. I think that hurt the funds that they had to get some good bands, I would much rather go to Summer Fest in Milwaukee.

I was able to come across other peoples passes who weren't going to see the shows I wanted to. I was forced into going to the Daughtry concert, but I actually ended up liking it.

In 2005 we had Styx, Journey, Whitesnake, and Collective Soul. That was a pretty good lineup.

My friend Scott plays keyboards for Phil Vassar. They put on a great show! :)

P.S.

I probably would have paid the $105. I'm dying to see Rodney Atkins in concert.

Rodney Atkins little boy came on stage and he was holding him while he was doing his song "watching you", his voice started getting a little weary towards the end from holding him and singing the entire time. Taylor Swift is damn good looking, Rodney Atkins was good, and Phil Vasser did a great job jamming as well.

The lead singer of INXS came down by the front row of people and gave my niece and her friend his cigarette and told them to take a hit and pass it around. They are fricken 16 years old, and instead of passing it around, her friend put it out and brought it home with her.

I often wondered that when fans grab all our Gatorade towels after ball games?

You should see them scramble for sweaty Tshirts and gear!

Talk about bacteria havens...we won't touch that stuff anymore without rubber gloves!

Yep, it's pretty gross. A couple of country music artists auctioned off their used loofahs and toothbrushes this year at Fan Fair. Some chick bid over a grand for a loofah. What is wrong with people?

what?

that "country music artist" and "auctioned off their used loofahs" can be used, without irony, in the same paragraph?

Well, all of the proceeds went to charity, but still... lol.

It's gross that people want that kind of stuff.
