Hook and Ladder

3 of his offspring have won at first asking so far as 2yo's, including I PROMISE that won for fun yesterday at Belmont.

Any of his other babies run as of yet?

Oooh! I LOVE him! My favorite NY Stallion far and away, hope he does well. I think he was 3 for 5, but he might have had another starter today.

Alderberan is 100% I think right now and has a starter in the filly stake at Belmont on Sunday. (My Mammy is entered as well)

Edit this, I thought the TDN said Aldebaran was doing this well but the DRF for tomorrow says otherwise. (firster in Churchill's 5th)

I forget where it was, I'm thinking Hollywood, but recently I saw my first Hook And Ladder and I remember noting that he/she ran very nicely, may have even been a winner at first asking.

:D That's funny because I was just looking over that and saw that big giant minus when I noticed the trainer....

Bit of affection for the 8 because he was one who caught my eye at the yearling sale. :o

It never fails to amaze me... lol. :p

I told Kevin this a few months ago when I saw a couple of these Hook and Ladder babies at the OBS. Good looking youngins...

A couple to put on your watch lists include Brave Soul and another that doesn't appear to be named yet, but here is his page from the OBS:

Under Serviced was a nice looking filly at the sale in February. I believe she went for 325k. :)

P.S.

I know I've said this before, but Read the Footnotes also had some nice looking weanlings when I saw them. ;)

Didn't they breed Safely Kept to Alderberan?

it was rather strange, think he was 3/1....a new your bred that sold in training for 450k that on pedigree should have sold for 10k, working bullets for baffert and was relatively dead on the board for that barn. he looked decent but its baffert so its 50/50 he will be alive next year.
