Good job by the Belmont Gate Crew
The 9 was a little stubborn in the 4th--but the gate crew did an awesome job. When I pay attention, I am amazed at the professionalism the gate crew at Belmont displays.
To make things sweeter--the 9 horse won at 37-1. |
I've noticed they are very light on their feet. They do a great job.

I've always thought that the NY gate crews were the worst. Seems like it takes forever to get them in the gate sometimes.

:) First and foremost, the gate loading process must be SAFE for Horse, Rider, and Handler. It's not how FAST you can load, it's how smooth, and safe you can load. It is a dangerous job that when done right is fair for all. My hat goes off to all the guys and gals who work hard in the AM, and afternoon on the gate so that the race as fair, and safe as can be. THANK YOU!:D

Ok watch them load at Churchill or Calder, and then watch them in NY. It's hardly ever "smooth". I do agree that this is a very dangerous job, and kudos to those who risk their lives everyday.

They make so much commotion when they're all in the gate sometimes I think Al-Qaeda is in there.
ALLAH-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!!!!! |

I love those guys... NO...NO...NONONONONONONO |
This crazy numbers player at Beulah today hit that race with that horse, a small win ticket cause he plays them kinda horses
No lie     |
It's a dangerous job and they seem slow in NY only because at "0 MTP" they are still wandering around about a furlong from the gate. If they began to actually lead them in when the clock clicks to "0" it would look like the fastest out there.
They NY guys do a good job. When you whats 3 or 4 simulcasts daily you see how bad it could be. |
i thought the horse was gonna tap out..the ear twist was hurting em:cool:
