 Who says NPR is boring?

This audio piece is about recently uncovered dirty recordings from the 1890's. That's not a mistype- 1890's:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...131880&sc=emaf It really reminds me of how the more things change, the more they stay the same-- a new sound technology (wax cylinders) comes out, and right away people record sex and profanity. And we thought people were so prim and proper back then! I seldom listen to NPR (a friend emailed me the link to the story). Maybe I'll start tuning in... :) |

I listen everyday. My favorite segment are the readings from the writer's almanac and the historical notes.
http://writersalmanac.publicradio.org/ Frank Deford has some amusing moments from time to time as well. |

Science Friday with Ira Flato is on ... yes indeed, this Friday.
Great broadcast. My favorite listening time. |
