Who says NPR is boring?

This audio piece is about recently uncovered dirty recordings from the 1890's. That's not a mistype- 1890's:

It really reminds me of how the more things change, the more they stay the same-- a new sound technology (wax cylinders) comes out, and right away people record sex and profanity. And we thought people were so prim and proper back then!

I seldom listen to NPR (a friend emailed me the link to the story). Maybe I'll start tuning in... :)

I listen everyday. My favorite segment are the readings from the writer's almanac and the historical notes.

Frank Deford has some amusing moments from time to time as well.
