Texas Flooding
 

Man..I was thisclose to buying a new home in Texas last year....it's been nothing but flooding and fires ever since! Sheesh:(

They are either drying up and blowing away or flooding down there around Dallas. Fun place to live, but always getting the extreme weather...

So sad about the little four year old girl that got swept out of her mother's arms. Tragic.
Actually, Texas is kind of nice, though hot. And when it rains...there's nowhere for all that water to go.
Prayers for all that lost family and homes.

With all due respect... Dallas? Holy Mother of God. The city of glass and grass plains. There are some nice areas as in any city... but my sister lives there currently and I can barely visit the place.

The Mexican food absolutely stinks. To each his own.

Unlike Dallas, the people in Houston and San Antonio are actually nice...and the Mexican food is good. Of course a little better in SA than here.

I've always been a fan of San Antonio. I went to college in Dallas...not so much a fan of it.

Timm if you want to make important decisions like moving, you have to have your priorities straight.

Actually San Antonio has well over 2 million if you count the outlying areas, officially 1.9 million city proper. Way too big now. The growth is out of control. Construction everywhere.

I will probably end up in Fredericksburg... Texas.

Pgardn: I probably won't be going anywhere soon, what with the state of my family in "flux"! But I can dream of golf courses and quiet nights, looking at the sunset:)

I lived there for about a year, and I really liked it. There is something for everyone in the metroplex area. I lived in Irving, worked in Dallas, hung out alot in Fort Worth, and went to school in Arlington. 4 completely different places, which was pretty cool.

I know that people always say that New York City is the "Melting Pot" of the world, but the DFW metroplex is every bit of that anymore...
