3rd Hollywood

Arroyo Trabuco was really impressive in his last race. I thought that he would be 3-5 if he came back in a starter allowance race. Here he is in a starter allowance race tonight and he is the 3rd choice. I can't believe it. He was totally geared down the final 100 yards of that race. I thought he won the race by 5 lengths. I was surprised that the Form only shows that he won by 2 3/4 lengths. I pulled out the tape and realized that he did only win by 2 3/4 lengths, but that's only because Jose took a tight hold of him that final 100 yards. Otherwise he would have won by 5.

I see that there was a scratch in here. That may hurt the price a little.

I agree he looks good.
i didn't watch the replay but the numbers looked great. he might not be taking the action because of the stretchout.

He should be alright. He's had plenty of time between races and they worked him a mile. I think he'll be able to handle the distance as long as he doesn't get in a speed duel.

He ran alright but not quite good enough. I couldn't bet to place either because I could see that he was going to pay under $4.00 to place. I can't complain. He got the trip I was hoping for. He just wasn't quite good enough.

I thought he would have been better than the other ellis runner. oh well.

I actually made big bets on both of them last time. I thought AT was much more impressive than LM. Jose rode them both last time and he liked AT better too. He could have ridden either one of them. Ron liked AT better too. LM handled the strecth-out a little better than AT. AT also got a tiny bit hot tonight before the race.

What's interesting about AT is that even though he's by Monarchos and he's a big long-striding horse who looks like he would have no problem stretching out, his dam actually never won going further than 6 furlongs. So AT may actually be better sprinting even though everything about him looks like a route horse.

coincidence, I had a nice win last time on the Mud. Didn't see him coming right back though.

You mean have Mr Ellis pee in a cup!!!!!!!

Rupert Pupkin 06-15-2007 10:35 PM

I assume you guys are kidding around. I assume you know that Ellis is as honest a trainer as there is. His reputation is beyond reproach. His win percentage is so high because he only runs his horses when they are right.

Its a bust on the CHRB , NOT Mr. Ellis.

The CHRB has been much more agressive lately and it appears to be having an effect on certain guys. They have been coming to barns unannounced and testing horses 5 days before they run. They have never done this before. This current CHRB means business.
