can someone describe what happened

GPK 06-09-2007 04:10 PM

nice of ABC to show the race.

CB ran down DR in the stretch.

Dream Rush went pretty fast 22:1 then 45 flat for the half all alone hit the top of the stretch up 3 lengths with Gomez like a statue but then Cotton Blossom rolls up and she couldn't hold her off.

IMO that was a bad ride by Gomez, why let Dream Rush go that fast then looking around at the top of the lane and trying to do it on a hand ride:mad:

Kinda funny, though.

My favorite horses as two year olds both won today... go figure.

Can you explain to me how Gomez was going to get this need the lead filly to go slower with a slew of horses on her tail? She was loose and under zero pressure, yes they went fast, I hardly see why that is the riders fault to change the pace pressure he is getting from the other mounts.

I am not mad about how fast they went but more at him looking back at the top of the lane and not going to the whip earlier. It may just be the beer talking
