ESPN's Asmussen coverage

They're driving me nuts trying to drag a human interest story kicking and screaming out of Curlin's situation. And they go let Asmussen cry us a river about being ill used against his knowledge. They don't fail to mention the suspension, to their credit, but seriously I don't feel bad for the guy and they can't make me. Might be nice if they also mentioned what really happens, that the trainer just trains at arms length.

Hey OJ's out there looking for the 'real killer(s)'...should Steve go dedicate himself to finding the real doper? He might as well have said 'someone stole into my barn and did it when nobody was looking.' It was sure heavily implied. Not gonna leave his horses alone again though, that's good to know. (Will he let the vet keep them company?)

I'll just stand here and wait for Steve's bestest friend to jump forward to his defense as is typical whenever someone's cynical about a trainer or jockey around here.

i thought it was funny. Oh yeah, i've been suspended a lot. the kids and wife "oh we were so happy to have him home - it was hard when he had to go back to work"

agree a bit, but I think their coverage of the actual races has been good, makes it interesting with the different camera angles.
