question about handicapping
does the fact that some tracks have shorter stretch runs like Lone Star Park my home track that has a short stretch run of 930 feet.
As opposed to Fair Grounds or Hawthorne that has the 1st and 2nd longest final stretches in the country. Thanks in advance Aaron |
where is the question lol

Makes a big differance if your horse gets beat by a nose.

Front running horses moving from a place like Oaklawn (short stretch) to places like Churchill, Fairgrounds, Aqueduct (long stretches) are absolutely at greater risk of being run down... Conversely, closers that move away from a bullring to a strip where they get an extended run at leaders have a more pronounced shot at reaching the wire first...
