Tuefelsburg-A LOCK SATURDAY

The one lock of the day on Saturday at Belmont is Teufelsburg. Sanders has him primed and ready to run a new lifetime top and blow away the assembled sophmore sprinters, returning him to prominence on the national stage.

Tuefelsburg- You just can't beat him.

Dream Rush is the only lock on Saturday. Teuf has an OK shot but I think Sports Town will win it.

We need the Seattleallstar's input on the matter before anything conclusive can be derived.

Stormello, my pick to finish last in the Ky Derby, is who I plan to bet in this race. He actually ran much better than I thought he would in the Derby...and this cut-back will really play to his favor

any concern he may be farther back then he is accustomed to, these are quicker sprinters then he has seen in a while?

He can win from off-the-pace at this distance.

Normally I'd be very concerned about any kind of horse making a 3 furlong cut-back....but not this horse.

I wouldn't have made him my offical pick to finish last in the KY Derby if I thought he was a superstar.

I really look forward to betting him Saturday....

I look forward to him winning and then hearing your story about how and why you didn't bet him.

The Indomitable DrugS 06-06-2007 09:44 PM

Of course I will bet him.....I've even rescheduled my manicure and massage appointments so I can do so.

My search for a new signature may finally be over.

Unlike most, I feel that Teuflesburg is more suited to 8-9f races than to shorter ones. I think he does his best running on the lead but doesn't have the speed to lead in good sprint races and his best chances for winning are by controlling the pace in the slightly longer races.

The only lock on Saturday is Council Member in the True North.

I dont, that story is a rerun.

I've been burned more than once by horses who were mistakenly put on the Derby Trail, then dropped back to their better distance in this particular race (aka the Riva Ridge). Especially in the late lamented Pick 6 contest. They often need an easier sprint (n2x, stakes at Mth or Pim) to get them back thinking "Oh, yeah, one turn - I remember how to do that."

woooooooooooooooooooooooohooo my boy!

& i do like sports town - for 2nd, 10 lengths back. ;)

Zito's kind words on her abilities aside, I'm not sure I'd jump on the bandwagon based on Jamie Sanders having him ready to "blow away the field."

He's going to need to pass 3-4 decent sprinters to win. I don't see it happening.

And hold off Sports Town.
