What is more annoying to you?

Does it annoy you more when your horse who is the 6/5 fav or so gets into a speed duel with a 25-1 shot and cant hold and gets beat by 1 length in a 6 horse field or when your horse who is the 6/5 fav gets trapped and cant find a way through and once he does it is way too late.

Both scenarios stink but it really bothers me when my horse goes 21.2 with a 25-1 longhsot. For some reason I would think the the jock would know that he has a better horse and let the 25-1 shot tire out.

I don't know, but I bet it was Gomez on the latter horse.

All I can say is that decisions need to be made in a split second.
Do I get annoyed when a bad decision is made?
Sure.
Just remember, there's really not a lot of time to ponder. It's more "reflex" than "thought".
Also, horses have a "mind" of their own. Sometimes, one can only react.

sounds to me like you need to stop betting so many 6/5 favorites.

Especially those getting mukked up in 6 horsey fields.

especially those that are vulnerable on the lead.

If you bet horses like that you should just be annoyed at yourself.

Has Dominguez struck again?

AeWingnut 06-06-2007 05:10 PM

I would have to say people that bet 6/5 shots.

If that 6-5 is the best horse in a race and you're playing a pick 4 or 6 and is a single on your ticket---it hurts to have that horse lose.

At least I don't also lose win money on it.

true

I was a sucker and put a 4-5 shot in my pick 3

those horses have to have everything their way or they quit

:p

A 6/5 cheap speed horse is my favorite to leave out of pk3s qnd 4s. 6F or 12F makes no differance.

Much worse for me when the horse duels a longshot. To me, the second scenario is just bad racing luck, the first often involves a bad ride by the jockey which drives me nuts.
