6/5 early double at the Mountain

Well they're off the turf tonight and i'm assuming that the first race will be at a mile on the main.In the opener i'm using the 2,4,9 and 10.In the 2nd again off the turf i'm using the 5 and 6.Early double 2,4,9,10/5,6.Good luck.

maybe because he got in off the ae list, or because it was originally scheduled for turf?

The Bid 06-05-2007 07:21 PM

AE at Mountaineer?

hes ran on the turf once in about 20 wins out of 35 starts, why would he be 5 to 1 off it?

MISTERGEE 06-05-2007 07:30 PM

yes, in the racing form he was an also eligible, and the betting based on the other horses turf records, not his

The Bid 06-05-2007 07:32 PM

He would have won on the grass or the dirt against that bunch, theres just noway to justify that price on a horse whos won more than 50 percent of the times hes ran. I dont have the form in front of me but I cant recall ever seeing an AE at Mountaineer, hes listed as the 10 entry on the online form. No AE.

MISTERGEE 06-05-2007 07:35 PM

yep got it right here, in the same mode how bout the very next race, thats my man paid over $13. maybe the crowd at mnr just arent very good cappers, im really not used to that track though

I think more amazing was Fog Buster being the favorite in a sprint. You've got to be careful at Mountaineer when they take 7 furlong races off the grass, which is 2 turns. It becomes a 6 furlong sprint. If the race is 71/2 furlongs it becomes a mile on the main track.

The Bid 06-05-2007 07:37 PM

Huh, I wish I would have checked my email earlier today. Ive had that horse in stable mail for 2 years and bet him everytime he runs no matter where he runs. Just so consistant.

Im pretty familiar Mermaid, despite it becoming a sprint I jsut cant make sense of the price. That horse was just starting to stride out when he hit the wire. Another furlong he wins by 8

The mountain was long shot city tonight with multiple races with winners paying $112 and $48 dollars on horses that were sensible choices especially the 10th where the 3rd choice from Bris speed figures was an incredible bargain. I caught a little piece tonight but no where near what was available......the mountain makes me nutz sometimes!!!
