Hollywood Tonight

Anyone look at the card, especially the first race? I really like someone in the first race, want to see if I am getting delusional

saucon17 06-01-2007 09:47 AM

In the first I like #1 America's Friend who has been working pretty good over the cushion surface, also like #6 Lighten Up Rule also working well, will be probably overbet with Talamo riding. The #3 Themis Valentine could be long gone if she is allowed to set a moderate pace. I take the stab on the #1 if price is right

Scav 06-01-2007 09:52 AM

Watch the replay of the 4's last race. Nakatini takes the ride back, 42% win% with this trainer, 14-15 horse field last time and was weaving back and forth, will get clean run, and has some number power. Was in front 4 jumps after the wire last out, and gets the stretch out.....Big big fan of this rat....

I don't trust Nakatani. I know he has a high win %, especially with this trainer. I just know that he finishes off the board with more horses that should be winning than any other jockey on the So. California circuit.

That being said, when I don't bet him in a Pick 4 or Pick 6, he wins. I seem to notice he does better on the big money races. I was a lot happier when he tried his luck back East (kind of like with Desormeaux now), and was not screwing up my bets.

Good luck on your bets.

That replay shows a lot more than I expected. Is also encouraging they move her back up to MSW company again. She made need a hot pace to help her close. I also remember on TVG they interviewed the trainer he was very high on her and she relishes the cushion surface.

rise in class not off the benefit of a win is a strong angle

Not as much for hot pace as a clear run, Nakatini was all over her was 7 wide and then end up on the rail, weaving all over the place. She will get a good run 4w the whole time tonight I think

I actually like that entry quite abit. Not so much Unusual Suspect but the horse that Espinoza is on....Lot of speed going on in that race

10 pnt move up 06-01-2007 02:40 PM

I would imagine unusual suspect will scratch.....I liked the other half much better as well.

THe first race looked difficult to me.

I'm with you on the 4.
I saw his last race, and it was much better than the form would tell you.
I'm not too worried about the step up against statebred MSW company, either.
Not a lot in here, and with the way hollywood has been playing, I see him getting a nice closing trip.

It cloudy and overcast today so this means that the track will hold the speed better than it has when the suns out in the afternoon. Doug Oneil and Jeff Mullins have had a slow start at Hollywood and you can expect a change before too long. Good Luck to you all.
