Harlington Returns

Thursday, Belmont 8th. Once upon a time he did beat Premium Tap.

Seattleallstar 05-23-2007 12:23 PM

Premium Tap isnt a grade 1 caliber horse dont be fooled

cakes44 05-23-2007 12:24 PM

Either that was sarcastic or possibly the dumbest post of the year.

lol. Well, if Harlington's not enough for you, I see Sinister Minister is also in tomorrow. Didn't you once lose a week's pay on that one?

Seattleallstar 05-23-2007 12:31 PM

Ask him how CQ has done for him lately.:(

cakes44 05-23-2007 12:32 PM

Or he might win in a grade 1, which he did twice last year. You are amazing.

slotdirt 05-23-2007 12:33 PM

That's really weird. I swear he won the Clark and the Woodward last year.

Once a horse has already won two G1s....and hit the board in the two biggest G1s in the world, it seems ridiculous to say that he is "not G1 caliber."
You might as well say that he isn't actually a horse.

Absolutely not.
There was a poster on the "old board" who once accused a jockey of injecting a horse with steroids..........in the middle of a race. The sad part was that wasn't even the most outrageous thing that particular individual posted.
Seattle is clearly wrong here.....but this is certainly NOT the post of the year......let alone of the century.

Not steroids, meth. This was per the Greta Kuntzweiler meth incident.

Was that what it was? I knew it was something crazy like that.
Anyway, to get back on topic it is nice to see Harlington back.
He has an outstanding pedigree, is 5 for 7 lifetime, and when he won the Gulfstream Park Handicap last year he beat, among others, Its No Joke. While certaintly not a world-beater, Its No Joke went on to have a very nice campaign last year.

blackthroatedwind 05-23-2007 06:22 PM

Harlington's return is almost as exciting as a rerelease of " Ishtar. "

That movie won the Razzie for worst director, but SOMEHOW did not win the award for worst picture. It was nominated....but didn't win. I don't know how.
