Nakatani-Stevens Split
 

Well, that was short lived -- Craig O'Bryan has replaced Gary Stevens as Corey Nakatani's agent. Nakatani wasn't having a stellar Hollywood Park meet. He was something like 3 for 20-something since coming back from KY. Some thought this partnership was doomed from the start, others thought it would last and blossom. I thought Stevens could add some value, but he doesn't really have any experience as an agent.

O'Bryan also handles Jon Court and will continue to do so. Also, Clinton Potts, who was with O'Bryan, just gave his book to Nick Cosato. Cosato also represents Michael Baze.

Nakatani just can't stick with an agent for very long anymore. Stevens had too many things going on to be a good agent.

When half the horses you see are "the best horse I have ever seen," it probably makes it difficult to be a good agent.

Better bring a gun. I loved the Charm, when he said Rock Hard one good race Ten was a better horse I knew he was insane.

Stevens is a lousy agent. He stinks. He should be good.....but he just isn't.
It kind of reminds me of how Rock Hard Ten was as a racehorse.

I liked Silver Charm as well. He was an awesome race horse. I loved him and Free House battling back and forth. :)

Honestly in my opinion, I don't think we ever saw the best of RH10 (in that he was a late bloomer) and we never will so there is no sense in arguing. I just hope he becomes a good daddy like his daddy was.

Ha! I had the same idea. I don't know if you did it intentionally or not, but you just REALLY pissed her off by insulting RH10 and GS in the same post!
I was just kidding buffy. I like Stevens and RH10, and I have no idea how good of an agent he is. I just like to needle you.

Must have been that amazing Keenland meet he had.
I remember reading how excited he was to go down there with Gary, and he was absolutley brutal.
Not that's it's an easy meet to succeed at, but I think he may have only had 2 or 3 wins.

Yep Rock never got to show his stuff by winning the Malibu, The Strub and the Big Cap and beating eventual eclipse award winner St. Liam , yep damn piece a crap hide , should ran him for 50k.

Just saying he was better than a lot of people gave him credit for. He would have kicked St. Liam's azz again had he been able to run in the Classic. And probably would have won the DWC the following year. :)

Honu, I still wear my RH10 Hat! Ya know I love him.

They dont give him credit because he was mismanaged when he was just starting out and then because we didnt ship him anywhere . Anyway ,nothin to do now but watch for the lil rocks , like u , I cant wait to see them ;)
