Calvin Borel quote from the NY Post

Did I need to read this before cementing my position, no, not really... but it doesn't hurt:)

"I worked him this week and I could not believe how he has gone forward after running (and winning) the Kentucky Derby, a hard race, two weeks ago. There is no way he can get beat in the Preakness."

is your position that Hard Spun or Circular Quay will win?

Owners, Trainers and some jockeys absoutley love their horses. They are not the most objective bunch.

I hope Street Sense wins too

I know, which is why I took this with a grain of salt, but I felt the same way Calvin does before I read his remarks, now it just Cements it a bit more. Street Sense wins leg #2!

I hate when the connections say things like this about horses I like. It always makes me think twice about betting on that horse. All I can think of is a quote that the "Titanic was an unsinkable."

On the other hand at least CB likes his chances today.

You have a point there, but you did choose the worst predictory statement of the last 200 years as your example;)

Jockeys have to be the least objective people on the face of the earth. And second least objective would have to be horse trainers and owners. I like Borel but I would completely dismiss his comment.
