I have no idea how Tagg plans on FC getting 1 1/2 miles, especially with Cornelio on him. He tends to use horses up pretty early.

Pedigree Ann 05-16-2007 02:46 PM

These are the sorts of races (distance on dirt) that Evening Attire has needed all along. The first 8 or 9f is his warm-up.

If we could only get Perfect Drift in there this would be a true race for the ages(aged).

Those three should tour the country competing against each other over the course of the year. The Gelded Warrior Tour.

if EA walks out of the gate you know he's on.

He wanted to keep his record of never running him where he can win intact.

Sheez....what a stupid spot.

Wagon Limit got a race named after him? Seriously? Wagon Limit.

Sure, next is the Dollar Bill Handicap, The Green Monkey Mile, and the Coin Silver Sprint.

Here are the Brisnet Past Performances for those interested: http://www.brisnet.com/bris_link/pdf..._llc_74660.pdf
Three of these guys are CUTTING BACK to 12f. You don't see that every day.

sumitas 05-17-2007 09:34 PM

Rising Moon jumped way up his last race when he went T to dirt on a good track. broodmare sire's avg winning dist was 9 f. an interesting entry here.

You are right.
In addition to having an AWD of 9f, the broodmare sire (Nijinsky) of course won several rather important 12f races across the pond, and was an English TC winner.
Rising Moon's sire (Runaway Groom) was also a multiple stakes winner at 12f, and won the 10f Travers Stakes.
Rising Moon certainly has the pedigree for a 12f race. I don't think he's quite as talented as others here, but he might be worth a shot if the odds are right.

This is such a bad spot for Funny Cide. But I stil love when I see a race with Evening Attire and Funny Cide in any race. I would say that neither of them hits the board, but it is stil great to see them on the track.

letswastemoney 05-17-2007 10:36 PM

It's not out of the question for Funny Cide. His favorite distance is 1 1/4 miles so 1 1/2 isn't that far fetched. The figure he earned in the last race against Accountforthegold wasn't terrible. Saying that though, I still cannot bet this race.

I just love EA.. he is such a grand ole guy!!
