Thank You Steve Byk!

Thanks for the Road To The Roses Contest Derby Prize Pack. Thank you also for running a great website and radio show. I have really come to take this place for granted each day of my life.

It was really cool of you to send the prize and I am not sure everyone can truly appreciate how many unnoticed things you do behind the scenes.

Thanks,
-Chris

I couldn't agree more. How many days at work do I spend almost a full eight hour day on the phones cruising this website while waiting for my computer to update equipment in the field, etc etc etc.

I've only been here about 8 months, and honestly -- can't remember what it was like before coming here. Never have I seen such a large group of intelligent, feisty horseplayers gathered in one place to talk horses and harangue each other any chance they get :D

I agree with you guys. This is one of the best internet boards to discuss horse racing. It's almost as good as a pulled pork sandwich from Carolina Barbecue.

Steve,

I dont know how I would A) get through an eight hour work day w/out your website and B) get through a shi**y commute home daily w/out ATRAB on Sirius. Thanks for contributing to my deliquency.

Regards,

Mike

TF, BWS, Leo, Mike, et al..

Thanks for the very kind compliments, but what goes on here is a credit to you and the 1,000+ that visit weekly and participate actively or passively making it fun, informative and profitable for all. When I started Derby Trail on Yahoo in '03, this really is exactly what I had in mind, and all that got involved deserve the credit. And the real life friendships that have been forged out of this undertaking is to me more satisfying than anything else..

With the first anniversary of DT on a free-standing URL approaching, I'm amazed at what's been accomplished from a membership standpoint and of course the Stable. If any one person derverves our appreciation for their dedication to making this a pleasant place to assemble, it's Paisjpq, who has dilligently and fairhandedly overseen the Forum for months on end. We honestly wouldn't have what we have as a group without Beth's contributions.

As I've said many times, having an audience to write for when DT started, has ultimately provided me journalism career opportunities I had previously abandoned as life goals.. Believe me when I tell you I'm as grateful for everyone's support and encouragement in realizing those ambitions as anyone could be of my efforts on your behalf here..

don't try to kiss my ass...as you know it will get you nowhere;)

I agree with Steve. I've been relegated to being a figurehead moderator because Bethani is so on top of everything.

paisjpq 05-15-2007 09:44 PM

you won't get anywhere either.

...and thanks to Beth and Joey as well.

Seriously...when I get done with all of the P.D. bs and the grind of daily life.....where is the first place I go? Here of course. (Unless a pint of Guinness calls my name at the local pub.)

Thanks to ALL.
