Well, he was consistant over the years, his remarks after 9-11 were..to me..shameful and his problems with gays destructive to the fabric of modern society. We do agree on abortion...although I wonder if repeal of Roe is the answer anymore. They had an interview that he did last week with C. Amanpour on CNN where he said that he was praying to his god for 20 more years of life...guess that didn't work out. I never take satisfaction at the end of a life, if he's right...he has a ticket to the christian heaven, if I'm right...he'll be back to try again.

And...it doesn't go unnoticed how some folks take any opportunity to slam Jesse Jackson. Not sure how that applies here but certainly not unexpected.

It's not public yey but I'm starting my own religous University.

The Sent 2 Stud College of Biblical Knowledge.

No altar boys. In fact, no altar. We'll be using strippers and a pole.

Signed,

Reverend Stud

p.s. RIP Rev Jerry. For good or bad, a man of determined principles.

"Inappropriate" is your word, not mine. I said "not sure it applies here".

He released The Clinton Chronicles, the story of it is too long, but I suggest taking a look into some of the facts involved in the making of it and the aftermath.
Speaking of 9/11 Falwell said "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen." He later apologized.

His thoughts on homosexuals, "AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals." Nice. Real nice.

I guess it's good he didn't molest anyone, but excuse me if I don't give him credit for it.

All true! Besides abortion, I can't think of a single area of agreement that I have with him...perhaps if I looked closely, I'd find something.

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-15-2007 03:16 PM

he was a snappy dresser.lol

Coach Pants 05-15-2007 03:29 PM

I envy his healthy appetite for snacky...err old wives tales...err knowledge.

Downthestretch55 05-15-2007 03:38 PM

Of course my thoughts are for his family in their time of loss.

As for me...I won't miss him at all. He did his best, devoted his life, to misrepresent everything that Jesus was about.

I'd like to see what happens when he shows up in the "judgement seat" and he hears the words "I do not know you".

Elevator down, Jerry. Burn forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
