Haven't seen news or results yet but thrilled he won. Love this one!

Soldier of Fortune (Kinane) just outbattles Arabia Gulf (McEvoy) in the Chester Vase giving the runner up 4 pounds.. good performance but maybe not quite top class,

You know i didn't even realize that was today! Need to get caught up!

Too busy searching for Peeress updates.:D

Why did i think they had retired her?

The girl of the year! Here's hoping anyway....

Thanks for the news.

brockguy 05-10-2007 09:03 AM

yeah, should be studying for exams, but its on TV so im at home watcing it..

Peeress is such a classy filly. Backed her in Ascot (when she was bullied by the colts) and Leopardstown (i still cant believe she didnt win!)..

Yeah I remember both of those races..... especially Proclamation bumping her. Bad luck girl.

I remember waking up one morning, the Windsor Forest Stakes? Think so... a few years ago... with Soviet Song and Sundrop.

Refreshed the sites over and over, waiting, hoping and finally seeing the headline.....

PEERESS IS PEERLESS

and just screaming. Love her to death.

surface/distance?

was this turf or dirt ? 12 furlongs?

This is a horse that I took a good look at before the 2006 World Cup. Nice Horse.(at least at the time)
I remember he won a race later in the year, where at a glance, I thought he was going to be a really low price favorite, probably should have found out how to wager because it turned out that the public considered it an upset when he won that race. Sounds like he may have done it again.

brockguy 05-10-2007 11:07 AM

it was over 10 and a half furlongs on Turf round the tight Chester track..

after the 2006 DWC, he won a G2 at Royal Ascot over 12f as 9-2 third choice.. that might be the race youre talking about..However, he was heavily favoured here and went off 4/6 fav!

If only Mubtaker would have been around to pester Maraahel and finish 2nd...
