For fans of Whedonverse and/or Dexter
 

Julie Benz has been named for the female lead in John Rambo, Sylvester Stallone's new movie currently being filmed. Don't know any details but it's wonderful to see a great actress get a major role in a movie with a "big name". Julie plays Dexter's somewhat damaged girlfriend in the show, she was Darla on Buffy and Angel.

Somer: what's the name of that other series(1st yr) about this wizard guy who's friends with a female cop?? The name escapes me....but my daughter got me watching it and I think it was pretty good.

"wizard"? I don't know that one. Unless you mean Blood Ties which is on Sunday nights on Life Time...in that one, which I really like, a former homicide detective turned PI (due to progressing eye disorder) Vicki Nelson works some rather strange cases with a 450 year old vampire and her homicide detective boyfriend. The Vicki Nelson character is great, sorta an older Buffy Summers or Veronica Mars type with clever quips. The vamp is the illigit son of Henry the eight named Henry Fitzroy (I think)...it's pretty good show.

Somer: It's the Dresden Files that I was thinking of....you haven't seen that one?

No..haven't seen that one! What channel?

SCIFI channel....70 out here in LaLa land but..it's possible(?) to see episodes of the past on computer. You liked Raines,right?....kinda like Raines meets his destiny fighting otherworldly bad guys! Worth a look!

I'll check it out, I get SciFi channel, watch Painkiller Jane on it.
