hey, how about some grade one status finally for the ark derby??? oaklawn again a force in preps, with the second and third place horses both having run in arkansas.
surprised by curlin--and wildncrazyguy.

proud of hard spun, he won most of it:rolleyes: ....props to street sense, i think i've told everyone for days now not to leave him off their tickets.

I thought SS, Hard Spun, and Curlin were all amazing. So what do we say? Rematch in the Preakness? I think either of the two can take it from SS, but time will tell...

Hard Spun ran a GREAT race. . . I'm suprised he hung on for second like that. . .

SS came up big...he was the best today...

I was really disappointed in No Biz - he killed my superfecta! Of course, had he won then the payout would not have been as big but I still could have cashed a ticket.

NBSB really came back. we'll have to see how he comes out of the race. until the top of the stretch he looked super.

well, if hard spun runs in md, i think he'll turn the tables--no way street sense gets that sweet trip again.

as for curlin, he was 8 1/2 out of the win, that's a big gap to make up. good run from him, better than i expected.

one of these days you will all learn that when i put a selection in my signature.....i never miss.

matter of fact, if you look in the derby rankings thread--i have the ex cold. but not the tri, i didn't put a third place horse!! i just typed 'everyone else'. came true for sure.

Sumitas....PLEASE delete your last post before avance sees it. He will go on a huge rant about how Invasor was not the favorite last year, and I would rather not listen to yet another Bernardini vs Invasor harangue from him on Derby Day.

I HIT THE TRIFECTA HEAD ON!!!!! I ALSO GOT THE EXACTA! I could kick myself for being so cheap! I played a straight 2.00 exacta on Street Sense and Hard Spun, than a 2.00 trifecta on Street Sense - Hard Spun- Curlin! I want to thank whoever started the Derby Superfecta thread, I decided to put my money where my mouth was, my brother in law was at the Wynn in Las Vegas and called me this morning to see who I liked, he told me he'd place my bets for me! I won 548.00!!!!!:D

congrats!! lol seems we all kick ourselves for not betting more when we're right, and then complain when we bet too much when we lose....

but hey, you have a lot more $ now than when you woke up this morning! way to go

Thanks everyone! I never bet actual money, my brother in law just happens to be in Vegas for the De La Hoya fight and called! I was screaming like a wild woman just thinking I hit the exacta, I wasn't aware that Curlin was in 3rd, when I saw the finish posted I almost fainted on the spot!!! :p
