Don't Forget It's 1 Race

The Derby Day card as well as the cards for other major tracks offer loads of opportunities. Yet every year I see people, (gulity myself), put their nut on the Derby. A bumper car race where the opportunity for a score is always there, yes, but for every Barbaro who was much the best there are so many horses who are compromised right from the start....Just a little advice. Spread the wealth throughout the card and don't bet 10X your normal unit---just because its the Derby.

It is an ANNUAL tradition for Scav to go ALL IN on the Derby. I am either broke as can be or I am walking out with friggin STACKS. Last time I walked out with stacks was Monarchos. Circular Quay will be BRINGING THE STACKS BACK.

I am going to definitely spread it out this year. THere are plenty of opportunities on both Friday and Saturday for the score.

Atta boy.

Are you doing the Fri night Derby chat again (aka "Scav's Derby Dance Party")?

You are right...Guilty here.

Great points.

I try to limit myself to 4X a normal race wager, justified by the fact that the Derby has tremendous value for success...

It's one trip to the window, but it's definately not any other race. If I win, I'll be talking about it for a year, if I lose, I'll be thinking about it all day for a week.
