Arlington Stakes Contest
 

I know this properly belongs in the Contest section, but I want to make sure everybody sees it, so nobody that wants to play misses it.
I am not exactly sure how much interest there will be in a contest like this, but there seems to be quite a few Chicago-based people on here, so it should be fun even if we just have a couple people do it.
The contest is simple. There are 27 scheduled stakes races over the course of the Arlington Meet (here is the complete list: http://www.arlingtonpark.com/racing_..._schedule.pdf). Those will be the only races we will play.
All Arlington stakes races are run on Saturdays (except for one on the 4th of July).
The contest will work like this: $10 will be bet on each race. Six of those dollars will be devoted to a $2 WPS bet on the horse of your choice. You will get that payout across the board (ie: if your horse wins, you will get the win/place/show payouts combined, if your horse places you will get place/show, etc.) The other $4 can be spent however you want. You can place win, place, or show bets on another horse, play exactas or trifectas, etc.
Like DerbyCat's contest this winter/spring....the "score" will be kept by keeping track of winnings only. You can only be in the positive in this game, you'll never dip into the negative.

The Arlington Meet kicks off this Friday with the first stakes race - and therefore our first race of the contest - coming on Saturday.

You guessed it! But you forgot one important one. This contest will have a brutal punishment for finishing last.
The last-place finisher has to accept (and use) a plane ticket to Jersey.

6/1 sure, but ml favorite? no way. im 3/5.
about this $4 that we can spend any way we want, can we choose to just add that on to our horse that we selected for the first $6? so our bet ends up looking like $6 win, $2 place, $2 show on one horse?
