What were the Dolphins thinking???

OK, Quinn got a lot of hype but he seems the perfect fit in Miami...they gamble and stay at #9 and he falls to them...AND THEY DON'T TAKE HIM????
Unbelievable!! How much do they pay these guys??

timmgirvan 04-28-2007 01:15 PM

Yeah...Brady's falling like a rock! And the pick of Ginn was ridiculus....his ankle is still not healed after 4 months....not a good sign! I should say that I hope Quinn does well in NFL..I won't hold it against him that he went to ND,lol!

King Glorious 04-28-2007 01:18 PM

I believe that Ted Ginn Jr will be one of the top 3-4 contenders for Rookie of the Year, along with Calvin Johnson, Adrian Peterson, and Dwayne Jarrett.

timmgirvan 04-28-2007 01:23 PM

King: I agree he's a great talent...but not on 1 wheel! Just being cautious.....Peterson will suprise people, imo, and I hope Jarrett is all that he was at USC:D

Good luck! This may actually benefit Quinn but how do teams that need a QB pass on him? Cleveland I could understand but Miami?? Quinn could drop into the 20's now...I think he will in fact find himself in a better position but boy...strange pick by Miami!

.... yeah he is a game breaker but i believe quinn was the obvious choice.......the dolphins are idiots, they could gone after d.b last year year now they are trying to get an obvious broken down trent green?

timmgirvan 04-28-2007 01:28 PM

Well, you know that there are trade talks behind the scenes...maybe the Bears get a package from somebody with Quinn and another frontline player!

Name another 175 pound guy with a bad ankle who has contended for Rookie of the Year.

These short, small, fast slot recievers/returners are always terrible high picks. Hell, Dante Hall is the best of this bunch over the past 10 years and he went in the 5th round. The guy he's replacing, Wes Welker, was undrafted. Taking a smallish slot reciever/returner with a high first round choice is a joke.

It's a lousy pick.

i can't believe that quinn wasn't taken, who knows where he'll get picked now. i don't think anyone saw this coming, a huge shock--he must be physically ill at this point. so much more amazed at this then at houstons miscalculation in skipping bush last year!!!

Coach Pants 04-28-2007 02:16 PM

This is fun to watch.

Quinn is a class act as shown in his interview a few minutes ago, I'm not concerned about him but I simply don't understand Miami. Cleveland still may make a deal and get Quinn. By the way, Loved my Skins' pick! Come across the middle against us next year...

Ginn, the one with substandard hands. Please, this kid is quick as ice, but he's never going to be a solid nfl reciever. Quinn would have given them stability at qb, but instead they take someone who really is not healthy and when speed is your main attribute, thats not good. The dolphins screwed the pooch. Saying all that though quinn is taking it very well. By now i would have gone berserk and would have been destroying the green room and telling the espn reporters to gfy .

my son (and fellow 'skins fan) asked if they would take quinn if he was still available, i said no, they needed help in their secondary-so thrilled that they got that kid, love to see those lsu players do well.
i know cleveland is moving heaven and earth trying to move up, they want quinn-good luck to them.

skippy3481 04-28-2007 02:31 PM

BABA, there is a reason that other top recievers dont kr/pr. THey are much to valuable to risk to injury. Ginn has great speed great quickness, and very shaky hands. Going purely on wr play, he was not the bets reciever on the team. This was a huge huge reach.

King Glorious 04-28-2007 02:42 PM

I had it Johnson, Ginn, Jarrett
