Hawthorne Pick-4 Payouts
What a backwards day at Hawthorne. The two pick-4 sequences were so out of whack it's not even funny...it doesn't even make any sense. I think my math here is right
The $2 parlay on races 2-5 yesterday would pay $157.39. The pick-4 paid off a whopping $4,214.00 on a sequence of horses 7-2, 9-5, 8-5, and 6-5. The $2 parlay on races 6-9 yesterday would pay $10,610.69. The pick-4 paid off a paltry $2,704.20 on a sequence of horses 46-1, 10-1, 5-1, and 3-5. In addition, the $2 pick-3 starting on race 6 with that huge winner paid $2,143.40. Would have been a potentially great (the first sequence) or awful (latter sequence) day depending on which one you hit. I don't get it. |
That is nuts! I checked drf.com and you are right. Only 12,360 in the early pool. Someone got a gift!!!

brian being from here you know as well as i or any1 else hawthorne is a$$-backwards altogether! lol do you really expect anything less? if things dont change here within in a few years maybe less expect hawthorne to be outta business and arlington to run like a 7-8 month meet

A chalky pick-4 pays about 30X its parlay, and then a bomb-filled pick-4 is not only hit (how many times does the late pick-4 roll over on 3/4? Plenty), but hit for half the amount of the chalkfest earlier in the card. I would honestly be thrilled if Arlington ran a longer meet and Hawthorne didn't have anything. |
