What a joke of a company. The world's 2nd largest computer empire, and I get a call from them 2 days ago (from India, of course, why use American employees?) "Mr. Phil, you have not paid your bill this month and you will get charged $29 if it's late" me: "I paid through the website on March 18 and April 9, and my bill is due on the 22nd, perhaps you should recheck your records" Dellguy: "The website is not updated. It's a month behind, so you still owe for April" me: "Are you f@#($*@#king kidding me? The world's 2nd largest computer company and you can't afford a properly working website? GFY, have a nice day [click]"

Dell is overrated IMO, but supposedly they are easy to work on which is why computer savvy people typically get them. I personally don't care for them, but more power to you if you happen to like them.

Just got a new Dell about 3 weeks ago with MS Vista on it so far it's
been great. My sister got a Gateway about 2 months ago and she
has nothing but problems with it. I had a problem with my router a
couple of weeks back and the tech support for Linksys was great

DUDE GOT A DELL!!

dr fager, ive got another eddie mush like story. I was at the casino with my parents I went to get something to eat, afterwards I went looking for my dad and he was playing craps. He was running pretty hot one guy told me he had been shooting for 20 minutes without shooting a 7, sure enough once I ask my dad how he was doing and touch him on the shoulder. 7 OUT!!!! On the way home my dad makes me sit in the back of the car and to face the other way for fear if I look forward we might get in a car accident, when my mom asks what the hell is going on dad made up some stupid excuse

I wanted to do that, but I don't know enough about their OS. What do you know about them? Got any info you care to share? Is there a way of making them compatible with Microsoft documents?

there is a office edition caj, the professional edition that should do the trick because it has VPC 7 which will allow you to make em compatible

I am on my second Dell and have nothing but great experiences with the company. Best Tech support in the game. The comment about someone from India calling is the way it is everywhere now. My company outsources phone volume to India, Brazil, Mexico City, Dominican Republic to name a few. We also have centers in FL, MD, NE, and CA. I have actually spoken to a Dell rep in AZ so it's not entirely shipped off shore. The biggest frustration in speaking with a rep from India is they follow a script and don't deviate from it. So if you know that going into the conversation it can make the experience a better one.
