She ran the last half furlong in under 3 seconds?

Sounds too fishy for me.

EDIT: Unless the internal ones are off too -- but doesn't it seem a little off for her to go 21.45, 46.05, 48.87?

Refresh the link, they just changed the chart to 43:05 for 4 F

Polytrack is too damn fast...

brianwspencer 04-12-2007 02:11 PM

Now that I think about it -- the "track record" was established when? Last Friday?

During last week's opening, there was not "track record" listed on the results charts.

I realize they probably didn't ever run any 4.5's on the poly last fall, because the distance was obsolete for 2 yo's by that time of the year.

So this was really only the, what, fourth race at this distance on this track?

Not saying it wasn't blazing fast, but the track record portion of it may be a little overhyped. All of the Keeneland track records (except for turf racing) come from either the fall meet of the early days of this one.

LOL... you can find him on the other board. :p

When you've got babies doing 9 and change for 1/8, that kinda tells you something, doesn't it? It's really fast, Baba...
