Feeling So Pretty

13 year old gelding entered tomorrow in Keeneland's 7th. I love the Evening Attires & Tin Man's of the sport, but his last race comments are 'outrunned', 'pulled-up' etc. While he is racing primarily in hurdles he is doing so by being beat up to 35 lengths. :( While some of the horses in this field are seriously out-classed hasn't 'Pretty' really done enough?

he's in the prime of life. He really enjoys getting out and watching the other horses butts
get smaller and smaller on the horizon

she's actually a mare...which makes it that much more surprising that she is still running...she has graded stakes placings over fences...I'm surprised that no one tried to breed her, unless of couse someone did and she's infertile.
nice picture on pedigree query of her.

Not only she a stakes winning mare, she also traces tail female to a full sister of Bull Dog and Sir Gallahad.

I would guess that they are going to run her back in the Royal Chase like they did last year...on paper she probably looked hopeless in that race last year but she managed 3rd...maybe she'll have the same luck this year...

They could have made her a jumper! She would probably be fast enough for that.

Her trainer/owner is Lee McKinney...she devotes EVERYTHING she has to her horses (probably 4-5)..Gallops, hotwalks, feeds, rubs, even packs them around the country in her 2 horse trailer behind he truck. Not saying she is the most competent, or maybe the most sane...BUT she is in the sport purely to see her horses run..not for money, breeding or anything else....just trying to stand up for her a little bit as sher eally is an amazing tireless worker

I was at her last race at Little Everglades, but I can't add anything to what the form said....maybe it was too many beers and too much BBQ. :o
