Cotton Balls for No Biz

Got to like this move by Tagg. Not only does he add blinkers but he is going to put some cotton balls in No Biz's ears. Well at least there were there in his last work. I this is an old trick but I love when trainers reach deep into their bag of tricks to try to find something that works. No Biz is a talented horses. I hope all of this works out for him. I wonder if there is going to be a new equipment change logo for adding/removing cotton balls in the DFR.

i love this horse, i have loved him since he broke his maiden, im sticking with him after his lose last time out, i think he romps in the wood, i could be wrong i am alot but im putting alot into him on saturday, keying him in the pick 4 and pick 6.

I really do think NoBiz has the most talent, maybe outside of Street Sense, in this 3 year old crop. I think if the blinks and cotton do the trick, we might be seeing a great strech duel between Biz and Sense in the Derby.

i agree i have been on him for so long and im just hoping he puts it all together in the wood.

I have to agree with the both of you. I will not be wagering this weekend but I do look forward to a nice performance from No Biz. I also look forward to a potential rivalry between SS, No Biz and possibly ANG.

I hate to break up this Nobiz lovefest, but what exactly has he done on the track that makes you believe A) he has such incredible talent and that B) he is not just a headcase who ran away from a couple of bad fields and caught everyone's attention.

On paper he just doesn't compare to Any Given Saturday. Nobiz spun his wheels last time, playing around the whole way and came up short in a race where they weren't exactly flying home. Now Barclay Tagg, usually as traditional a horseman as they come is trying everything but the kitchen sink to straighten out this guy's myriad problems.

If I'm proven wrong then so be it, but as of right now Nobiz has not done anything on the track that leads me to believe he is faster than Any Given Saturday or a few others from this year's crop.

Perhaps you didn't get a chance to watch his sale video. HELLO! LOL

Honestly, I like AGS, but I want to see him run big off of the "fake" dirt. :) But I do like him. If he can take to the real dirt, I think he is a very nice horse.

I do like No Biz too. I believe he is going to be my pick in this race.

not trying to knock Nobiz or Barclay Tagg...but in my opinion having to resort to something like earplugs to get a horse to focus isn't quite what I want in my derby horse...there is no crazier day than Churchill on May 6th...talent or no, I wouldn't want my money to rest on a headcase in that scenario. (and before anyone reminds me I know that plenty of headcases have won the derby, I just don't think this one will)

He is going to need some really BIG cotton balls for derby day.

I've loved this horse since the day he opened his little horsie eyes and said, "Hello world, I am No Biz!!"

I feel sorry for his competition. They're going to be so jealous that he has balls in his ears and they don't. What an outstanding, historic day it's going to be when he wins the Wood by over 20 lengths. Whoda thunk that all it took to get this magnificent horse in the winners circle is some comfy balls in the ears to drown out all of the negativity?

LOLOLOL

I wonder if Tagg's gonna add the popsicle sticks or tongue depressors and surgical tape to keep all those cotton balls in place. Like my vet does when dogs have their ears trimmed.

No Biz'll have a hard time pinnin' those boys, if he gets into a stretch duel.

I don't like the tampa track. I know GPK does, but I don't. Not saying he isn't good, just I want more. I always do though. :)

Out of curiosity, Buffy... why don't you like the Tampa track?

SentToStud 04-05-2007 12:27 PM

First blinkers.

Then cotton balls.

Next news will be the horse will wear those funny plastic teeth.

No thanks at a short price.

Seems that horses that run great there tend to only run "great" there. I don't know, just something stuck in my head I guess. He will show me on Saturday if I am wrong about the track.

Benevolus 04-05-2007 12:49 PM

I really just am not sold on Nobiz. He is nice looking but he really hasn't run a fast race yet. In fact his maiden was faster than his last race. He might just not be the great horse people thought he would be. Not to knock Albert the Great, but he isn't exactly producing great horses.

well ive got you beat there, i still remember the day albert the great climbed up on nightstorm and created noshow like bizshow.
i said to myself: "self, if they give that boy some cotton balls to stick in his ears, he is going to win himself the wood memorial someday."
