Satish reflects on DWC night
(no author listed)

Parole Board flew the flag for Satish Seemar in style on Dubai World Cup night, posting a career best to finish an excellent second to Spring At Last in the US$2 million Godolphin Mile.

HE Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum’s five-year-old looked poised for victory at one stage as he swept down the straight, but the American raider proved two strong, to win by two and three-quarter lengths.

Parole Board’s jockey Ted Durcan said: “My horse has run a fantastic race, he came to win it, but the American horse was just too strong. Maybe a mile is as far as my fellow wants to go.”

Seemar added today: “He’s run a cracker. I think we could have got a lot closer though, if we had a better draw than 16. He’s come out of the race very well and he’ll most likely have a long break now.”

The only other thoroughbred runner on the night was Thor’s Echo, who managed sixth to Kelly's Landing in the US$2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen.

“Everything was fine with him, and he ran okay," commented Seemar. "I just don’t think he got fully acclimatised. So he will go back to America now, and resume his career with Doug O’Neill.”

The Seemar-trained Al Moutawakel and Kerbel Lotois were no match for the brilliant Madjani, who was claiming his third win in the US$250,000 Dubai Kahayla Classic.

Richard Mullen, who finished ninth on Kerbel Lotois, said: “Sheikh Hamdan’s horse quickened up and ran way from me. My horse has been beaten by a very, very smart Arab.”

While Ted Durcan, on board the sixth home, Al Moutawkel, added: “My horse was outclassed.”

you can never be too sure around here. didn't want to assume because from what i've seen on here today there would be many people jumping on that assuming its was a racist remark.

unless its about lava man and his "alleged" shipping problems, i was serious about that.

oh yea, and when I handicap and post my picks, they should be an automatic toss for you guys, cause my handicapping skills are seriously subpar.

so basically, i am good for nothin!

You need to stop worrying about this horse and help me figure out how to send Thor a suitcase big enough for his stablemate. :p

ok then we have something in common because I am not serious most of the time either.
so when you say you are good for nothin, now I understand that you're not being serious. otherwise I would be concerned because thats no way to talk about yourself.

I've heard it through the grapevine that she's definitely good for something, if you know what I mean.
