Latent Heat today at Belmont

Latent Heat is running today in the 4th at Belmont. 2-5ML. I think he will be beaten. I like the two early pick 3 of Triplethepleasure-Henry JC-American Revolution.

On second thought I will use him in my pick 3. Too good for these.

The Bridge Jumpers will be in full effect at Belmont!!:D

Depends on the track condition. I was going to make a huge win bet on Showing Up today at Colonial but have decided to just go $250WPS because the turf will be soaked. LH better like a wet track because it really rained overnight and this morning.

sumitas 06-24-2006 09:58 AM

that soaking, i agree with you cutting back and spreading it under the conditions.

Latent Heat is the 6 in the 3rd, not 4th.
I'll bet against, going with #2 Wahran. Laurie LaFavers has shown what she can do with her small stable of runners.
In the 4th...I'm going with #1 Unbridled Danger, Contessa/Coa angle.
DTS

Correct. It is the third. I am passing on everything until the big race at Colonial. Belmont is going to be a mess.

Downthestretch55 06-24-2006 11:20 AM

Yup..Belmont will be a mess.
Here in the Catskills, the rain has stopped. What's it like in NYC?
If it's a drying track, to me, it's one of the hardest factors to figure.

oracle80 06-24-2006 11:30 AM

Its a very uninspiring card. rain has ruined all grass races except the feature. Other races are either evenly matched or contain big faves, no thanks.

PeteMugg 06-24-2006 01:14 PM

Very interesting.

sumitas 06-24-2006 01:30 PM

LH wins. $2.40. there were only 3, maybe 4 horses in the race.

Gander 06-24-2006 01:37 PM

They should just cancel this awful card. Surely even the degenerates can find something better to do today.

LOL! Tim!
So what are us degenerates doing besides watching races (though not betting today), and talking about it on this board?
Once it's in your blood......

I am actually working today. One of my Clients has an emergency which we need to take care of. I will be here all day and some of the night. It stinks because its a gorgeous day here weatherwise.

Downthestretch55 06-24-2006 02:21 PM

Tim why the constant negativity? WHo cares about the Belmont card? I mean is it worth getting upset over? Just was out getting some sun and went swimming this afternoon. Felt great. Getting ready to start watching the Yankee game. I will also flip over to wtach the stakes races as they go off on tv. I don't think you get it Tim, not even a little bit. Most of us don't have to go to the track or an Otb or watch or bet all day long to love this game. As a matter of fact you are the only one I ever see who is always unhappy about it. It IS possible to absolutely love this game yet not me beholden to it 24/7. Kev is at an OTB now, he called me yesterday and said he could do the track because his new beau is having a bday party for her Mom, I said man you GOTTA go to that not the track and he said yeah man no doubt. Hes gonna watch a few and then leave to be with his girlfriend.
Tim its 2006, its possible to wake up and get soem work done, eat lunch, go out and swim and get sun, watch a ballgame, and still flip to see a few races that you are dying to see. What about that don't you get?

Gander 06-24-2006 03:12 PM

Kevin loves da juice. Hes going to get in trouble when he arrives at the B Day party smelling like the smokey OTB, hope he brought a clean change of clothes or people gonna be talking about him :D

Summit of Speed should be a good card.
