florida vs ucla

i cannot get over the line on this game....florida minus 3 ?
something is up here its like there begging you to bet florida, the betting public has to love florida only laying 3. it seems way to small of a number, you'd think florida would open as at least minus 6 and then possibly get bet up to minus 8, but they open at 3 and i checked and it seems to have stayed around 3 i havent seen any higher but i actually saw 2.5 which means ucla is taking money.....

there are so many reassons why florida should be a bigger favorite in this game, today on espn radio they are talking about if florida brings there A game there unbeatable, they have 2 top ten picks, and 4 possible first rounds, they are defending champs, they argubly have the best coach and player for player i think 9/10 ppl say they have by far the most talent.... They have great inside play and even better shooters, they are deep they really dont have a weakness and this same team crushed ucla in the national title game last year. What im trying to say is florida minus 3 looks way to good to be true to me, thats why i think hands down ucla is the play in this game and i will be making a large bet on them this weekend.

It seems like more and more Vegas throws these tantalizing lines out there, like they're either trying to rake in the dough or get took huge.

I agree with that Florida line looking tasty. But UCLA and Florida are 2 teams that can "ugly up" a game pretty good, and keep it close. And I think that's what Vegas is hoping for.

I remember the MNF game between Cincy and Indy this past season, where the over/under was set way lower than it shoulda been. All those 2 teams do is score, so of course a bunch of people were jumping at the "over". Well I think Vegas was hoping that both teams could just make 2 stops, or that Cincy would try and play ball-control, pound the ball, run clock, and keep the score lower.

I forgot what Vegas set that over/under line at, but the final score ended up under the over/under line by I think 3 points, mainly because of a low scoring 1st half. So it just goes to show that I think Vegas is looking to either take it all or get took. This Florida betting line seems like antoher example.

I would like to see the Bruins win this one, as their defense is superior to last years team. Florida is very good and they have much more experience with their big men. Too many fouls by UCLAs' A&A might spell doom for them down the stretch. Should be competitive game, though. In the other game, Oden and especially Conley stand out, but I think the Hoyas are stronger and deeper.

good luck. Should be great games Saturday.

i don't agree the lines are funny. At this point in the tourney, the oddsmakers really don't make any mistakes. All season long, they put up lines for 150+ games a week. This week, there's 3 games. Which teams win doesn't really matter. The lines aren't moving... they're tight.

the "oddsmakers" are the people betting the game.

does anyone really believe bookmakers do anything more than try to split the action and eliminate their risk?

i get $11 and pay $10 to the winning side on every bet. i can't lose if half the action is on each side. i can only lose if i take too much action on one side that wins.

the odds are at fl -3 because that is the point where the action is being split. the line changes when more money starts coming in on one side.

you folks are betting. the book is eliminating their risk.

I could not believe this either. I was thinking UCLA might have worked out the problems in last year's game.

But you could not be more right about the inside. UCLA gets no easy baskets unless off of turnovers, which they might get. But Noah and Horford are way too much. They are intimidating the heck out of UCLA on the defensive end. UCLA is going to have to hit 3's, and get turnovers converted to easy baskets. I know the game is close. But the gap seems very large. UCLA has no answer in a set offense except 3's. They are not getting easy baskets on the set offense. Thats gotta change. I think thats more important than what the Packerman says.

Can't win without Afflalo shooting well. He is not consistent enough for pro ball.

I was really hoping Noah had an awful tournament. I was hoping the Spurs could somehow get a shot at him via trade. Noah next to Duncan on defense would be an awesome thing. This kid is so mobile and is so aware of space around him.

You don't want to look at that ugliness all year.Besides, who knows how he will play when other teams can shoot too.He is use to being on an offensively dominant team. When the 2 teams are equal offensively, then I think he may have big attitude problems.

Exactly....This is why I knew my future wager was done on Georgetown. LVSC opened OSU at -1 and the hilarious public moved that line to G'Town -1.5.....classic opportunity for every pro in the world being all over OSU and every single person in the public being on G'Town

I have to look at Popovich all year. Nothing compares to the craters on that man's face. We have a team full of ugly guys. Yes I think Parker is ugly also... Ugly fits.

Noah is a good passer, junk man on offense, and he patrols on defense, but can man up, which is exactly what we need. He feels spacing very well. I likes very, very much.

Somehow....I don't think he'll be pounding his chest so often in the NBA! I thought he was gonna get a 'T' when he flopped his arms and pulled out his shirt in 2nd half
