The Sentimental Vote - Dubai

Kinda a cross between Esoteric and International but hey... we can have fun here too. :p

Okay, name one horse you'd like to see do well..... even if they don't have much of a shot.

Who wants to go first?

I really want both Quijano and Mystical to throttle everyone in their respective races.

And for Premium Tap to wire the field in the DWC and break the track record

my miss storm cat 03-29-2007 10:42 AM

What's wrong with Young Craig?

I mean, some say Apache Cat (applause! :D ) is (gasp!) not attractive, but we all know better.....

ArlJim78 03-29-2007 11:02 AM

I have a couple, that I would love to see do well,

Nightmare Affair - been a good one for me many times, a tough veteran campaigner. Would love to see him hit the board or better.

Collier Hill, this 9yo I have come to admire for his consistent gameness.

Both of these are up against it but would love to see them in the spotlight on Saturday.

my miss storm cat 03-29-2007 12:28 PM

I have a few (..... okay, about 20 :D ). Some go without saying (Lava Man, Flashy Wings, Thajja) but who I've accepted might not have much of a chance.

Who would mean the most to me, if he were to do well?

Bullish Luck.

I know, I know.....

Have followed him for years and i'm well aware of what he can and cannot do. First time on dirt, etc. etc. but it would mean the world to me to see him fire and get up for a piece of it, although chances are, well.....

He's had issues..... a virus, surgery, takes him a while to get fit, has an egomaniac trainer who went from being very good to running some into the ground (poor Russian Pearl, poor Silent Witness) before they were thankfully retired.

Anyway, hope he does okay, comes home safe and is treated how he deserves to be treated and retired on a high note before he goes the route of Russian.

Godspeed Mr. Luck. Good luck, Brett Prebble. Screw you Tony Cruz.

I just think in one as Mood mentions MYSTICAL .
Sometimes the sports results give to a hole country hope and a feeling of pride. An the people from India will love to see their horse became a International Champion .

So come on MYSTICAL.

Hell yes, if that Indian bred comes down the lane in the lead, I am gonna be cheering.

Except I am producing the races so I can't get too excited or I'll miss the finish.

Both get tested for class...but both are amazing animals.

I'll have wagers down on them! :)

Bullish Luck. Did he not put Silent Witness' streak to rest? And I guess with 7 horses on the dirt he has more of a chance to make some $ than with the 16 on the turf where he probably belongs. I dont know what the purse breakdown is though. I like how the British announcers in Hong Kong make his calls, " and on comes Booolish Luk"

MMSC, I'll give him this much. Invasor and Discreet Cat are both in for a bit of a fight if he has a chance to run in the lane and takes to the dirt. He has a nice attitude for a racehorse it seems from watching his races. Does his job well and is generous.

He doesn't know who Invasor or Discreet Cat are, and I doubt that he gives a ****.
