Making$$$$$$$$

We all talk about betting angles and capping to make a profit. Everyon talks about how hard it is to turn a profit for ownership.Looking at the horses, ownership and triainer. Even with Team pletcher and Doug Oneils strong barn of 3yr olds. It appears that Helen Pitts and Kaplan are the best trainers of 2 and young 3yr olds. They both take moderately priced colts and either win or put them in a position for the owners to get a large profit from there investmen in private sales for there stock. They are a prime example of how good evaluation and training can overcome the unlimited budget.

How many crops of 2 and 3 year olds has Helen Pitts been the named trainer of? Is this a statistically significant pool to base your conclusion on?

Don't know about taking low dollar and getting more bang for the buck but Ward out West has his 2 year olds on the straight and narrow. I hate seeing them run so fast at a very young age. Watched the Barretts sale the other night and saw a few good ones in there with the Officer colt #147 going for the sale high.

you cant be serious ? both of them have a couple of solid horses, at best. comparing them to pletcher or oneil is crazy, in my opinion

If I wasnt clear. What I was refering to was turning a profit not the most wins or purse money but turning a profit for the owners.
