Fav Handicapping Angles
lets hear some, 1 of mine(1 of many) is a horse who ran in the slop in their career debut and showed absolutely nothing and is catching a fast track second time out
|
Lightly raced 5 yo mares coming off a layoff in winter/spring.
|
I like a horse who first time out, ran on well enough to pass horses late, but not enough to gain any ground on the winner.
A horse who shows the propensity to pass horses even while not contending first time out can often come back and run a good one the next time out. It doesn't work all the time, of course -- but it's one I think about lots. |
2 sprints/route
|
New York Breds running in Open MSW at other tracks, then shipping
to New York tracks to run against restricted NY Breds MSW. |
I like to play horses whose legs I've felt.

4 wide - weakened

my Favorite is
Get a bunch of people to throw $$$$'s in and purchase a 3year old filly @ auction, have the trainer take her to New Orleans , work out, get some sun, then ship to Kentucky and enter @ a kee. turf race. Any one else use this angle ? :D |
Good turf breeding coming off the main to turf for first time, especially with a good turf trainer
|
Msw to Mcl
Definitely need to pick your spots. Nothing I like better than taking down a short priced fav in Mcl... Also, horses who go from Mike Smith to anyone else... |
I have none of these. Every race and horse is different. No hard and set rules for me at all.
|
Sneakly watch the unoffcial trials for a first starter that u know the owners are punters that wins by 5 lengths & then goes to a race meet outside of town with no form & no history & punt heavily on it They do the hard work & i pick up the cash ;-),Pays to keep your cards close to your chest when you do this one;)
