Discreet Cat, in what trainer Saeed bin Suroor termed his final serious gallop before the World Cup, worked a mile at Nad Al Sheba on Saturday in 1:38. Frankie Dettori rated the undefeated Cigar Mile winner three lengths behind workmate Count Trevisio, a 4-year-old handicapper, cruised up alongside at the three-sixteenths pole, and drew off under wraps.

that is the second paragraph in the article, impressive ?

I like DC but I just dont see him winning. I love Premium Tap and I hope he wins the World Cup.

I'm going to put an * by that fever of Discreet Cat's. Im also looking forward to the showdown between Invasor and DC.

Watch out for Eu Tambem, the Brazilian 3yo, who won his Dubai debut over older horses at the distance on Super Thursday. Eligible to go in the Derby, but they are sending him in vs. the Big Boys. First non-Argentine winner of the Argentine Derby in forever, something like 130 years.

With Ryan injured, who gets the Kandidate mount?

PPerfectfan 03-20-2007 11:37 PM

I am thinking Premium Tap will be higher than the 6/1 come post time. I really like the guy and hope he pulls off the upset. Lets just hope Kent doesnt misjudge the finish line. We dont need another Kotoshan moment.

Poor lil Jazil. Nobody pays attention to him. We're all over Discreet Cat, Invasor, and Premium Tap--and Jazil's little sis back home in the States. He's the Rodney Dangerfield of this race.

I think this is gonna be a fun edition of the DWC and if those 4 run well I'm not gonna be too upset over the order they come in. I was all over Premium Tap in the BC Classic so I love seeing him at this level being taken this seriously. Invasor's rocking it for the older horses. They could've retired him. Heck they could've retired Discreet Cat in all his fragility. I just see a lot of talent with these 4 and I like that I rooted for them last year and get to root for them this year too. Don't always get that anymore do we? (Now if DC can manage more than 4 races this year I'll get excited about that too).

So was I and he did not dissapoint himself in the Classic either. I can see him winning this race if he runs his A game.

long straight in Nad Al Sheba should suit him.. These "Head to Head" clashes that are built up often cause a surprise when the fancied horses are beaten!!

I don't think Jazil's running. . . He was only going to run if Invasor couldn't. . . And he has no shot vs. Discreet Cat, Premium Tap, etc. . .

i have herd nothing about jazil running, last i read he's staying in the usa for a campaign over here which will include a marathon turf race, if he did run he'd have 0 shot to win, if they ran the race 100000 he would not win it once.

Sounds like someone got stiffed in the Belmont last year.

Did he really say 100,000 times?

He's been known to exaggerate.

He really meant 99,999 times.
