Gulfstream 3/14

3rd race. Maiden 50K on the grass. Clement has the lone firster (Chinsgut Bay) in here. Like the steady works. Manny Cruz is up and hes not too bad of a jock. Interested to see if this horse takes any action on the board. Pletchers Chester House colt should take plenty of action. Kent D's horse intrigues me a bit, but Gleaves is on the cold side thus far at the meet.

Anyone have thoughts on this race?

You know me, never met a firster I didn't like....except this one. :D

Dam was a sprinter. Honor Glides so far (it's not a huge group) have not shown an affinity for a route (1 for 19). He's also 0 for 20 with firsters, and 0 for 10 on the turf.

That said, Clement can get them ready and Cruz is more than capable. You'll get a big price.... If he comes up live on the board, it's time to get on the bandwagon.

Kent D.'s looks like one of the contenders. The Pletcher horse should take lots of action, and rightfully so after the debut but wish that one had finished better in the stretch.

I like Mass in here too. I like the drop into claimers after a decent finish last time in the turf debut. Brothers has decent, if unspectacular, numbers in this type of layoff situation and I think that one could move forward this time to contend at fair odds.

Parlay was around $1100 for the dd. , paid $3200. largest double i can remember seeing. if u told me the 2 had won, i still wouldn't have bet him.

Big underlay on Prado's horse in the 9th, Sted's Pirate. I think Maui wins it.
